SIMON COWELL SET TO INTRODUCE A DJ REALITY SHOW
Under Creative Commons License: Attribution Non-Commercial Share-alike Show creator and famous talent hunt show judge, Simon Cowell, is set to launch a new talent show which will focus on seeking out ‘the world’s greatest DJs’.
The TV mogul’s production company Syco Entertainment says they’ve been working on the project for over a year now. Then show is to be co-produced by Sony Pictures Television and Overbrook Entertainment – the company owned by Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith.
The programme is expected to ‘capture the incredible rise of the DJ phenomena’,says a statement by Syco.
‘DJs are the new rock stars, it feels like the right time to make this show’, said 52-year-old Simon Cowell. He was apparently referring to the success of DJ’s like David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, who have all achieved phenomenal success in their careers.
Confirming the report, actress and singer, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Overbrook entertainment, co-producers of the show stated that, ‘this show will comb the world to find a new breed of talent’.
Simon Cowell is due to re-join the judging panel on Britain’s Got Talent this year alongside Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon.
